Franquette walnut is an old French variety discovered in the early 1800's. Produces a medium walnut in a well sealed, thin shell ripe in October. It does well in the West due to being very late to break dormancy, frost damage is rarely a concern. Partially self-fertile but produces best with cross-pollination.

35-40ft height at maturity.
