Plant Description: This herbaceous perennial can grow to 2 ft tall and just as wide. Threeleaf foamflower produces mainly basal leaves with long stalks and 3 leaflets that are irregularly lobed, coarsely toothed, and sparsely hairy. The stem leaves are reduced in size with shorter stalks. Tiny, delicate white flowers grow at the end of short wire-like stalks. The number of flowers on the stalks varies and they occur in elongate clusters. The flowers have 5 petals and 10 stamens.

Landscape Use and Ecological Function: This native plant grows from Alaska to California (including British Columbia) and east to Alberta, Idaho, and Montana. It is usually found at low to mid elevation in damp, shady forests and near streams.
