Plant Description: Stella Fig Tree™ was brought here many years ago by an Italian sailor and is now cultivated and prized by his wife. The large fruit has green skin and sweet, purplish-red flesh. This tree is self-fertile and hardy to 0 degrees Fahrenheit.

  • Height:  8-10 ft
  • Watering Needs: Water deeply when planted and regularly during dry season until fully established. Drought tolerant once established. 
  • Sun Needs: Full sun
  • Soil Needs: Grows well in a variety of soils, but likes soil that is high in organic matter and well-draining.
  • Ripening Time: Late July- early August
  • Bearing Age: 1-2 years
