Amazing for adding to salads, as garnish, for sorrel soup, or just eaten fresh for a zing of sour while working in the garden. Fantastic permaculture plant, insanely hardy and usually has fresh young green leaves in the middle of winter when 95% of the garden is dormant and brown. Cut back flower stalks repeatedly throughout the season to promote new leaf development, or allow to flower and collect the small brown seeds for re-sowing elsewhere or sharing with friends and family.
A must-grow for anyone looking to extend their garden season through the winter. Eat with moderation as the leaves contain oxalic acid and can cause issues if overconsumed. This shouldn't be an issue given how sour the leaves are, but we figured we should mention it anyway in case any of y'all love sour and want to eat it daily
