Sidalcea malviflora ssp. virgata (Rose Checkermallow) is a native edible perennial flower from the Northwest region. Its pink blooms can often be spotted in meadows, open fields, and along roadsides, as well as the rolling hills of the Northwest. This flower thrives in areas with higher moisture levels and is best planted in the fall for optimal growth.
