Plant Description: This is a coastal perennial plaintain that grows from a stout, elongate taproot or an erect, woody base, slightly woolly at the crown; scapes 5-25 cm. long, with stiff, aligned hairs. It grows in sandy soils and salt marshes along the west coast of North and South America.

The fleshy leaves of Seaside Plaintain are edible and slightly salty. *NEVER CONSUME PLANTS WITHOUT PROPER ID*
