Landscape Use and Ecological Function: Brown's Peony flourishes east of the Cascades in Pine forests, sagebrush ecosystems, and chapparel. We recommend planting these in dry, well draining sites like berms or rock gardens. Plant with sedums, artemisia, and WV Ponderosa Pine. This would also make an excellent container plant for patios.
