Plant Description: A naturally small tree, Negronne fig trees bears striking, almost black fruit, with tasty, sweet, dark red flesh. Negronne is well suited for container culture or confined spaces. One of the tastiest of all dark skinned figs, Negronne is synonymous as far as we can tell with Violette de Bourdeaux, but unique from other black skinned cultivars such as Petite Negra and Ronde de Bordeaux. Self-fruitful and hardy to between 0° & 5° F.

One of the easiest fruits to grow, and a true gourmet delight, you should not live your life without feasting on this sweet, delectable fruit. To fully enjoy fresh Figs you must grow your own. When fully ripe and at their tender, shipping them long distances is virtually impossible. Another plus for Figs – deer don’t like them (most of the time)!
