Want to start propagating native plants on a home-scale budget? Get your native plant propagation plan in order this fall!

In this workshop you will learn what it means to propagate native plants with a conservationist perspective, gain basic skills and knowledge to start your horticultural journey, and select the right materials and methods for your project. You can be a participant in native plant conservation by implementing best practices that enhance diversity of your local native flora and, by extension, the health of your local ecosystems. The class will be tailored to the attendees, so come prepared with your project questions.

This course is taught by Floraboros native nursery owner and conservation horticulturist, Roxy Olsson (they/them), provisioner of some of SymbiOp’s native plant stock. Floraboros is a Portland-based small wholesale native nursery, motivated to increase access to native plant interaction and cultivate ecological literacy.

Attendees will take home a small starter pack for native seed germination and plant propagation.
