Tradescantias are creeping perennials with oval-shaped green leaves striped with shades of purple, pink, yellow or white. Tradescantias are native to Mexico, Central America, and parts of South America but do well indoors in temperate climates with the right conditions.

- Watering needs: Moderate, allow top half of soil to dry between watering
- Sun needs: Partial sun, low-light tolerant
- Soil needs: Well-draining
