This short lived perennial is another easy to grow member of the mint family. Will grow in partial to full sun, I'd suggest at least 4 hours of direct light. Will grow to 4 ft in height, Instead of being aromatic like most of their kin, this one went bitter. Harvest aerial parts for cramps, the heart and a hyper thyroid.

Leonurus cardiaca is a PERENNIAL growing to 1 m (3ft 3in) by 0.5 m (1ft 8in).
It is in flower from July to September, and the seeds ripen from August to September. The species is hermaphrodite (has both male and female organs) and is pollinated by Bees.
Suitable for: light (sandy), medium (loamy) and heavy (clay) soils and can grow in nutritionally poor soil. Suitable pH: mildly acid, neutral and basic (mildly alkaline) soils. It can grow in semi-shade (light woodland) or no shade. It prefers moist soil.
