Plant Description: In the carrot family with short, sharp basal leaves and thick, fiberous roots (like a carrot!) Flowers are sharp, toothed, and round. Low growing.

Ecological Function: Coyote Thistle is most commonly a wetland species and grows alongside sedges and rushes. We recommend this species in wetland restoration, wet rain gardens, and bioswales.
