Plant Description: A stunning, rare Willamette Valley native perennial growing from tubers. Each tuber sends up a single stem with toothed leaves growing up each side, primarily on the lower half of the plant. Single stem produces severed flowers growing up the top of the stem in deep purple, blue, and indigo.

Landscape Use and Ecological Function: Willamette Valley Larkspur is unique to the upper Willamette Valley most commonly found at lower elevations in dry locations like rocky outcrops, rocky meadows, and dry oak woodland. It is also found in more moist locations like moist ash understories or in moist meadows in higher elevations. We recommend this species in well draining rock gardens and white oaks habitats. Supports pollinators, hummingbirds, and butterflies.
