Plant Description: A 1-2 foot tall sedge native to the Willamette Valley. A perennial sedge with green blades and brown cone shaped blooms throughout summer. Enjoyed by birds.

Landscape Use and Ecological Function: Found in low elevations in wet prairies, meadows, wetlands, and ditches. We suggest using this sedge in rain gardens and bio swales alongside. Great for attracting birds who enjoy the seeds.
