Calathea is a tropical houseplant that thrives in a warm, humid environment with filtered light. As a houseplant, calatheas love to be kept in a self-watering planter, on a pebble tray, in a terrarium, or grouped with other plants for optimum humidity. They can handle moderate light and are a wonderful air-cleaning choice for the office or bathroom.
