Plant Description: Large upright native aster common in moist areas with part sun such as open woods, forest edges, and streambanks. Stalks are tall with a single stem that branches out near the top with small, bright purple flowers and a yellow center. After flowering, plant forms globe like seed heads that spread by wind.
