Plant Description: A striking and beautiful bunch grass native to dry regions. Leaves are long and slender with several branching panicles with dropping stalks that each produce a hairy seed.

Landscape Use and Ecological Function: Ricegrass serves a an excellent bunch grass for dry meadows, as a grain in your food forest, and as a vigorous reseeding species it makes for great use in restoration.
Often found in dry and sandy areas, this species is often in association with native Juniper, sagebrush, and Ponderosa Pine.
