Sago palms, while not true palms, are an ancient plant that provide your space with both a tropical and desert look. Their glossy, rigid fronds are what give them a palm tree look. They are native to Southeast Asia and neighboring Pacific islands. While they are slow-growing houseplants, they are rather low maintenance, most notably needing bright light and fare amount of humidity.
