Plant Description: An unassuming shadey Willamette Valley native with multistems and small, red bell shaped flowers with bright green, soft leaves.  Growing most commonly in moist coniferous forests and sandy coastal bluffs throughout Oregon and California.

Landscape Use and Ecological Function: This plant is a pollinator favorite, attracting dozens of native bees, butterflies, and beneficial insects. 

Quite adaptable, Oregon Figwort can grow in dense colonies when found in moist shade, but can also be found in single stands when found in sun, windy, or sandy locations. We recommend this plant for the edges of your woodland garden and along wet swales.
