Plant Description: An upright shade shrub that most often grows in dense clusters in moist woodland under stories. Devil's club can grown up to 9 feet tall and both the stems and undersides of the leaves are covered in dense, yellow spikes that can cause skin irritation. This plant is well regarded as one of the most important medicinal plants of the region with bark, roots and berries (though berries are primarily used topically and not widely considered edible) in use. Historical uses include poultices, steam baths, and infusions that have been used to treat stomach pains, respiratory ailment, cold/flu, fever, pain, blood purification, arthritis, etc. *NEVER CONSUME PLANTS WITHOUT PROPER ID*
