An upright, single-stemmed to multi- branched, herbaceous annual, with lemon-yellow flowers that occasionally display a red, central ring. Leaves are soft, grayish-green, muted by velvety hairs. The plants exude a slightly sticky resin with a pleasing scent. Flowers open in the morning and close during the heat of day. Depending on location, it can get very tall - if you snip the main stem, it will remain shorter and get bushy. Attractive to bees and butterflies. And birds relish the seeds!
