Western Yarrow is one of the least difficult perennial flowers to grow. Yarrow naturally grows in clusters and is very resilient. It is drought tolerant and can grow with very little water or care. A spot that offers full sun or partial shade will provide everything this flower needs. Suitable soil can be either dry or moist, and well-drained. Western Yarrow can grow in a multitude of different soil compositions. It is a great flower to plant in the trouble spots that plague your garden, or somewhere that you don’t want to have to manage often. Fern-like foliage covers the Western Yarrow.

It provides a great cut and dried flower. Yarrow is a strong attractor of birds, bees and butterflies.

Especially attractive to beneficial predatory insects like ladybugs and hoverflies.

This perennial has been used throughout the centuries as an herb for historical, medicinal purposes and is a good ground cover crop.

Can be used as an evergreen walkable lawn alternative. Mowing 2+ times a year will maintain a dense low mat of Yarrow. Yarrow naturally grows in underground runners and can aid in hillside erosion control.

Fall or spring planting seasons will work for this flower.
