Landscape Use and Ecological Function: Grizzlebear Pricklypear grows best in very dry, rocky locations. A cold hardy edible cactus species is utilized by large and small mammals for food and is likewise edible for people. Add to xerascaping or rock gardens in very dry, well draining locations.
