Dark-Throated Shooting Star, also known as Prairie Shooting Star, is a versatile and widespread flowering plant in the Primulaceae family. This species exhibits great variability and is native to western North America, ranging from Subarctic regions to Mexico. Its natural habitat includes xeric and desert environments, particularly in the Great Basin and Mojave Deserts.
