Marantas are striking houseplants with vivid stripe and cute little pale flowers. They are also known as “prayer plants” due to their leaves, which will lay flat during the day and then fold up like praying hands at night. Prayer plants are slow growers and prefer bright indirect light and consistently moist soil.
