One of the best varieties we've tried, Elegant™ bears heavy crops of striking, red, long, pear-shaped, tasty fruit. Lovely mature tree form as well.

The fruit ripens in late August to early September, and then the leaves turn lovely shades of yellow and red. Semi-self fertile, so plant two varieties for cross-pollination and to ensure good crops. Extremely hardy to minus 30° F.
