Not a real head-turner for humans, but bees love this plant. Flowers are white and not showy, but the plant is attractive and stays a manageable shape in the garden. This drought tolerant perennial can be short lived, but also easily reseeds.

  • Bloom time: late May

  • Direct sowing: Best sown in fall. Seeds will germinate readily in fall and grow steadily throughout the winter. Can be sown in spring (before April), plants will be shorter.

  • Growing transplants: Seeds do not exhibit dormancy but germinate best in cool temperatures (50- 65 degrees) and sometimes can take up to 30 days to germinate.
