Kits are a 4 lb bag that is ready to fruit oyster mushrooms. Each kit includes: oyster mushroom grow bag, instructions and a brief educational summary of what is happening as your mushrooms grow. It's science and it's food!
Growing these oyster mushrooms is super easy! Place bag near window, cut open the bag, spray the opening of the cut bag with fresh water 3-4 times daily. In about 7-10 days you will have fresh Oyster mushrooms you have grown yourself!
These kits are Italian Oyster Mushrooms (Pleurotus pulmonarius) or Blue Oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus var. Columbinus). Italian Oysters form clusters of super yummy robust mushrooms. And Blue Oysters form clusters of vibrant blue primordia that fade to a dove-like gray when fully mature. Both are great to cook with!
