One of our founder's new favorite leafy greens, we're not sure why this plant isn't exploding in popularity. It seems to have everything going for it... quick, easy germination, fast growing, tasty at every stage, super attractive leaves, low maintenance, high reward.
This plant in the quinoa family is a relative of lambs quarters with stunning bright pink and green leaves. The young greens are nutty, juicy and flavorful raw or cooked. As plants mature they grow quite tall, up to 7', and while the leaves lose a little crunch, they are still tasty. Succession sow every two weeks throughout the season for fresh, beautiful greens all summer and fall.
