Selected at the Main Botanic Garden in Kiev, Ukraine, Sweet Scarlet is valued for its attractive and very flavorful fruit.

A very pretty small shrub, Goumi grows to about 6 feet in height and width. The dark green foliage is silvery underneath and the foliage and fruit are covered with silver and gold flecks.

Fragrant creamy white flowers bloom in April and are followed by beautiful and tasty, small red berries.  Goumi is hardy to minus 25°F.
